The
Gerrards Cross Bowling Club was established in 1909 through the
generosity of Robert Brown. Initially used by his family and friends,
invitations were made later to professional gentlemen of the area, and
in time this led to the formation of the club.
In more recent years the club has become very successful in county and
national competitions, has provided players for the English
international squad and officials for the county and national
organizations.
